Easy ways to change multiple file names on Android
The file name on the device is used to easily identify the contents of the file as well as the format provided. It’s easier to sort a file to make it easier to read. If you are careful, there are many kinds of formats in cell phone storage today, not just external storage but the system as well, there are far more types of files available. Some people struggle to rename the file, but the files to be renamed are very numerous and it seems impossible to do it one by one and it can still be solved with an application and requires an Android phone to do it.
This time, I’m going to be releasing an application that can do “bulk rename files,” which means it can rename multiple files. With the help of this application, users no longer have to change many names in one word. So this application can replace many files with customizable names and is very suitable for a file that is intended for a specific purpose. It will be easy to search for filenames even though they are all the same on the front. What is more interesting is that this application can also change the file format directly.
This application is called Bulk Rename Wizard received a rating of 4 or higher on the Play Store. If the user has ever lost a file and all the lost files are in a folder called LOST.DIR, the entire file has no extension or format and must be renamed as well as the format. For that, this application can do what the user needs very easily is: Select the files you want to rename and create appropriate naming criteria according to the settings of this application. The first time you do it it gets a bit confusing, but by the time you’ve tried the application 2 times you will definitely understand how to do it.
Files that are missing in LOST.DIR are converted into files that cannot be viewed or with the intent that files in this directory cannot access read files that normal file managers cannot see and rename. However, users can simply use a file manager that is more advanced in its functions, like Root Explorer or xplore, to move all unreadable files first, then only Bulk renaming files with the Bulk Rename Wizard. Here are some descriptions of this application.
It’s very simple and a little difficult to understand at first, but over time this app becomes very easy to use. To bulk rename a file, users can open this application and click the button Rename Then select the “Rename files” section and click the NEXT button. Then click the button again add files to add the file you want to rename. Then this application instantly redirects to the SD card and the user simply chooses which files to add. When you’ve selected all of the files you want to rename, now just hit the button Add to. Now is the exception phase, please select the entire file again if you want to change the entire file and click the NEXT button. Currently, users are required to create a special name for all of these files so please click the button Add renaming criteria and there are several options, please choose which criteria to use for the filename and if you want to create a new name just click New name and a popup will appear for you to enter the new name. If so, you will be given a page to see the temporary output. Just check the filename criteria here and click Next, then Finish and wait for the process to complete. To download the Bulk Renaming Wizard, please click the banner below.
The bulk rename wizard requires an Android version 2.3 on, has a size of approx. 2.3 MB, and does not require any additional data or cache. The usage method described above looks very complicated, but only exists at the beginning of usage. So if the user has done it before, it will feel very simple and not confusing. Many kinds of criteria provided by this application and when the same file format is present, they will be given an additional name in the form of numbers to make it look different. Not only can files be renamed, but also many folders can be created by this application as well as an image.
Hopefully useful and good luck
